  • What you will be doing:

    Reporting to the Grounds Superintendent, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Communicate effectively with Managers and other Supervisors
  • Maintain Golf Course and Property landscape
  • Mow, trim, water all turf areas on the resort
  • Preparation of landscape areas for repair or construction
  • Clean of the property - litter, animal waste, recycling, hazard trees and yard debris
  • Plant, fertilizer and pesticide usage on a periodic basis
  • Treatment of non-native plants and nuisance grasses with herbicide
  • Operation of power tools and equipment while using proper personal protective equipment
  • Day to day maintenance of the property
  • Clean building exteriors and special capital improvement projects
  • Maintenance of skating rinks and cross-country ski trails during the winter
  • Decorations in Guest Area as required
  • Supervise Grounds colleagues on daily basis, ensuring all work is completed
  • Adhere to the hotel's vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous Leadership/ Training experience within the Grounds department
  • Ability for flower arranging, indoor & outdoor plant care & decorating is a asset
  • A good understanding & experience in container gardening, plant maintenance, indoor plants as well as trees & shrub an asset
  • Must possess a Valid Alberta Drivers License
  • CPR and First Aid are assets
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge specializing in indoor and outdoor plants and decorating
  • Individuals who have a desire to excel in the landscape industry
  • Ability to work safely and ensure co-workers are working safely
  • Trustworthy, reliable, responsible and dependable
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Must be self motivated and able to work independently
  • Must meet the minimum requirements on the Gallup Online Assessment for Managers/Supervisors
  • Your team and working environment:

  • Standing: 6-8 hr/day
  • Bending/reaching: 4-8 hr/day
  • Pushing/pushing: 4-8 hr/day
  • Physical effort: required to lift up to 55 lbs
