The Role


The Maintenance and Repair Technician will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance at our location in Markham.

This role will also require the individual to support at our multiple locations within the GTA, Nobleton, and Milton.

The incumbent is also responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and building equipment, according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and extended hours
  • Ability to read and follow detailed SOP's, repair manuals and blueprints
  • Able to Communicate well with other team members and leadership
  • Previous general maintenance experience is required.
  • Previous experience and knowledge working with electrical, and plumbing is required
  • Experience with equipment maintenance
  • Experience within a Food production facility is an asset.
  • Valid G license
  • Access to a reliable car, permitting travel to multiple sites located within the GTA, Nobleton, and Milton
  • Good understanding of Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Fire Code

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and execute recurring preventive maintenance on various facilities equipment and general building repairs
  • Basic painting, plumbing, electrical, custodial, material handling
  • Maintain and repair the company's equipment and facilities on an asneeded basis or by following preventative maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment using mechanical, electronic, and plumbing skills
  • Support with any painting Interior and exterior when required
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Comply with OHSA safety regulations and Foray Health and Safety practices, and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete them in a timely and efficient manner
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
