We are currently seeking a dedicated _
Foreman/woman _to_ join our team who will contribute to overall success of the Construction Site by providing quality work.
This position will be held on various Construction Sites within Victoria, British Columbia as well as the potential to travel to other markets if needed.
-What You Will Do:_
- You'll need to have a solid understanding of construction schedules and the ability to implement changes to accommodate work schedule accordingly
- You'll be reading drawings, plans and blueprints and will be responsible for conveying this information to others/site personnel
- You will be planning, implementing and managing construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
- It's important that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to report project status to superintendent daily and others as required.
- You will need to have a thorough and good understanding of safety policies and safe work while ensuring that all safety rules are being followed at all times
- The right applicant must also have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
- You'll be providing guidance and learning opportunities for laborers and apprentices
- You will be delegating responsibilities and individual projectneeds to the crew and subtrades
- You will also be responsible for developing and overseeing quality standards on the sites that you are fixed at
- You must be able to work effectively in various climatic conditions as Ironclad operates yearround, through rain, snow, wind and sun when it is safe to do so.
You Will Bring:_
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role; concrete and woodframe experience is a requirement.
- You must have at least 5+ years of Supervising/Managing staff in a site environment.
- You must have experience in largescale projects, especially with concrete. This is a requirement.
- The ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- You'll need to have the ability to travel across Canada to other construction sites temporarily if needed;
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work unsupervised
- Superior understanding of safety policies and safe work practices
- Possess strong leadership skills with effective participation in team environment
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong work ethic and a positive team player
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge and understanding of basic computer skills and typing skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
$36.00-$42.00 per hour
