The Role


This is a full-time position and will be primarily based out of the Pedalheads Vancouver, BC head office with requirement to work at our pool locations on occasion.

The work schedule for this position is Sunday to Thursday with Friday and Saturdays off.


Your Responsibilities
In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build in this role, you'll also be:

Hiring, Scheduling, and Tracking

  • Keeps job postings up to date on recruitment sites, job boards
  • Coordinates sending out employment agreements, new hire paperwork and online training for completion
  • Ensures certifications and criminal record checks are up to date for all Pedalheads Swim staff, updates tracking spreadsheet and follows up with staff requiring recertification
  • Sets seasonal staff schedules and assists in finding replacement staff in case of absences
  • Works with Payroll to ensure all hours are inputted.
  • Updates the Pedalheads Swim Teams page with communications relating to hiring and scheduling
  • Updates and keeps staff contact list current
  • Monitors SharePoint regularly and keeps all staff tracking documents organized and uptodate, creates new tracking spreadsheets as needed
  • Works alongside the Swim Management Team to monitor staff performance, wages, and evaluations
  • Participates in the preparation for, and implementation of, seasonal staff training dates.
  • Any other duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Excellent communication skill, flexibility, and professionalism
  • Be willing to go the extra mile to engage with customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Hiring experience, a must, experience with ages 1324 years old, an asset
  • Friendly, outgoing, approachable and brings a positive energy.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to be selfmotivated and work with mínimal supervision
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to areas of responsibility.
  • Prior experience working with Recreation as asset
