Job Summary:


The Project Manager provides project management services to the University for both project and operational activities for various technology and business transformation projects.


Working with cross functional project teams, including both technical and business stakeholders, the PM is responsible for the coordination, documentation, planning, communication, assessment, and ongoing review of technology and business transformation projects.


The PM will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including the initiation, planning, and execution phases; coordinating project tasks, stakeholders, and budget, while following project management principles and best practices.


The PM is responsible for aligning project deliverables to the business case assessments, ensuring that the assessment objectives, solution/scope, resource requirements, budgeting etc.

for both project and transition to operations are tracked and monitored to maintain close alignment with the business case assessment.

The PM will ensure appropriate controls are put in place to ensure project outcomes and objectives can be measured post-project.


Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree with a technical, or business focus, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Completed courses in business/process analysis or project management required.

Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing IT related projects is required.

Demonstrated experience and understanding of business and process analysis, business and technical architecture and capability modeling.


Ability to adapt to ever changing workload priorities and events and effectively reprioritizing or deferring tasks in line with operational and strategic goals.

Experience assessing and developing business cases/value propositions is required.

Experience in managing project financials, vendor management, contracts, SOW and PO's is required.

Experience in supporting inputs and outputs of a project management office is beneficial.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Ability to demonstrate a high regard for customer service and conflict resolution skills.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.


Ability to drive and implement business process and cultural change to leverage the adoption of new processes and utilization of technology.

Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.

Ability to work outside of normal working hours on an emergency or pre-schedules basis.
