Our team is looking for an experienced Master Data Specialist with a continuous improvement mindset for a 1-year term engagement, but with the potential for permanent employment.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally on key master data projects across the organization, and have a strong influence on continuous improvement initiatives.

Alongside our MDM team, you will be responsible for maintaining master data in our business systems. You will work with teams to help establish, evolve, and promote best practices for data management and governance.

This role is highly collaborative with business leaders and partners to improve data quality and standards with a focus on increasing the strategic value of data to the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with technology and business teams, establish, evolve, and document data governance policies, processes, and guidelines
  • Manage and improve data quality and collaborate with business teams to nurture a culture of accountability for data accuracy
  • Support and implement data management methodologies that support STEMCELL's business initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise and support related to content, processes, and procedures associated with SAP and other business systems' data
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality and work with functional data stewards to ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of Data Management experience at the enterprise level, working with ERP data (ideally SAP)
  • Experience in master data objects and knowledge of data governance programs (i.e. Data cataloging, data quality, business glossary, metadata management, data lineage)
  • Experience with using data cleansing and migration tools such as Legacy Transformation Migration Cockpit (LTMC) and/or Legacy System Migration Work Bench (LSMW) is an asset
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills in working with and manipulating large amounts of data using Business Intelligence technologies like Tableau, PowerBI, SAP Analytical Cloud or similar tools
