- Lead and oversee the maintenance, improvement, and future development of divisional data center technology and services, including server and storage services, backup & recovery, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
- Maintain a resilient data center and networking environment, perform capacity planning, cybersecurity monitoring, and address performance issues.
- Provide advanced support for software, hardware, and cloud services, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security administration.
- Monitor network, server, and storage capacity, and ensure appropriate action is taken to maintain integrity and performance.
- Uphold technology policies and standards, develop a knowledge base to support infrastructure standards, and ensure cybersecurity prevention measures are in place.
- Collaborate with users and vendors to address business needs and resolve infrastructure and cybersecurity-related issues.
- Contribute to technology frameworks and stay informed about current and emerging data center technologies.
- Assist in capacity planning and provide recommendations for infrastructure enhancements.
- Participate in technical investigations, audits, and technology projects.
- Coordinate technical project teams, analyze requirements, and prepare reports and proposals.
- Recommend policies and procedures related to technology and infrastructure management.
- Maintain vendor and contractor relations and oversee the solution delivery process.
- Prepare reports and presentations to update stakeholders on technology trends and solutions.
- Lead and direct staff to ensure effective teamwork and successful solution delivery.
- Travel to various offices and locations as needed.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Sciences, Business/Information Technology or related field.
- Extensive experience in providing end-user technical support in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience as a project and technical lead in complex enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of desktop and mobile computing hardware and operating systems.
- Experience in gathering and documenting technical requirements and specifications.
- Knowledge of current and emerging computing technologies and data center solutions.
- Understanding of mobile device management and communication technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to continuously learn and update technical knowledge.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Support for equity, diversity, and respectful workplaces.
- ITIL certification and understanding of ITIL framework.
- Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's License and access to a motor vehicle.
