Who you are:


We're looking for a VP, Finance to lead our Finance team and invest in long term growth alongside our business.

In this role, you will work closely with our executive team, provide objective guidance, relevant financial analysis, and thoughtful insights and recommendations to key business stakeholders.

This role is 3-4 days a week in the office, 1-2 days a week remote.


Let's give you a purpose:


  • Advise senior leadership and other key stakeholders on company financial planning and strategies.
  • Oversee all financerelated activity, including budgeting, accounting, financial planning, financial reporting, forecasting, tax planning and audits.
  • Develop and implement financial tools, systems, and processes to facilitate scalable decisionmaking across the company. Ensure critical financial and operational information and insights are available to relevant stakeholders, including the Board, investors, CEO, and senior management team.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, including Talent & Culture, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Product, offering key financial insights.
  • Actively participate in fundraising, due diligence, and investor compliance.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of key company policies and procedures (e.g. expense policies, travel policies, learning & development policies), working closely with Validere's Talent & Culture team.
  • Lead and manage the Finance team, focusing on effectiveness and professional development.
  • Oversee change management in the implementation of new organizational processes.
  • Oversee and lead new system implementations and administration.

What you'll bring along:


  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including demonstrated leadership in highgrowth organizations, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA or CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience overseeing and managing financial activities (ie. AP/AR, GL maintenance, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis etc.) ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data and reports
  • Familiar with financial management in USA & Canada
  • Demonstrated experience of growing and developing a highperformance team
  • Strong communication and collaboration with the ability to work effectively crossfunctionally
  • Highlevel of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Datadriven mindset, strong business judgment, and proven ability to perform analysis, draw key insights, and form and execute a strategy
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into the details
  • Strong intellectual curiosity & problemsolving skills
  • Handson experience with financial planning systems, CRM systems, and business visualization tools, business rules engines, etc.
