- Master's degree in a relevant field required
- At least one degree in English required
- Teaching Certificate or Instructor's Diploma or 5 years teaching experience required
- Experience teaching students whose educational, social and economic backgrounds are diverse, and for whom previous school experience may have been challenging required
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly teaching required
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in ABE English courses preferred

Provincial - A Provincial Level (grade 12 equivalency) course which prepares students for the demands of compositions required in academic courses.
