CRITERIA FOR AN INTERVIEW ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Minimum three (3) year College Diploma (including courses/certificate) in Business Administration/Distribution and Logistics Management) or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Minimum of two (2) year working experience in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or a related field
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
Knowledge of Commercial Vehicle Safety Requirements in the Highway Traffic Act.
Knowledge of Inspecting and Maintaining Steel Storage Racks
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Proven leadership experience and direct supervision of staff
Proven customer service-related experience
Demonstrated computer skills (at advanced level) in MS Office Suites, experience in SAP an asset
Proven ability to appropriately address and respond to requests, inquiries and complaints, both on the phone and in-person
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with frequent interruptions
Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
Must possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle available to use for travel primarily within the Greater Toronto Area (eligibility for mileage reimbursement)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to and under the direction of the Manager - Maintenance Services, the primary function of the position is to supervise the day to day operations of the warehousing functions.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Schedule daily, after hours manpower and fleet allocations for courier, warehouse pick-up and delivery services and school relocations throughout the Board
Plan, organize, maintain, and utilize available spaces in accordance with established storage concepts and regulations, and optimize the storage/space utilization
Manage the warehouse inventory control system(s) and distribution of PPE to school locations
Monitor the stock levels of all relevant supplies and replenish the inventories as required
Responsible for the administrative functions associated with the management of the work order system and the administration of the warehouse personnel including effective completion of work orders identifying labour and material, staff time sheets, travel allowance forms, tool and equipment inventories, vehicle administration, etc.
Act as the main contact and administrator for Fleet Management Systems, School Relocations and participate in the process of acquisition and dispensations
Review and monitor invoices from contract providers before authorizing payment
Attend internal and external meetings, participate on committee meetings as required
Provide a budget report to the Manager that will include actual expenditures compared to budgeted amount (monthly and year to date comparisons) and re-projection of year-end expenditures for Fleet Management
Ensure all safety procedures are followed and working to ensure policies, procedures, and collective agreements are carried out appropriately
