Our Ottawa office is currently looking for a Administrative Clerk to join and support our operations team for 6 months.

This role will be providing operational support to our administrative staff.

Responsibilities.

  • Editing, amending, and proofreading documents in Word and PDF form
  • Creating new documents using a variety of sources including handwritten note
  • Receiving and reviewing intake documents for all office locations
  • Running reports, entering due dates, and updating docketing records and client instructions
  • Interacting with agents, lawyers, and other staff
  • Other duties may be assigned or amended as required
Qualifications, competencies and experience.

  • Legal or General Administrative Assistant Diploma
  • 12 years' experience as an administrative assistant. Previous experience with Intellectual Property would be considered an asset
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills. This role is English essential, but French language skills would be an asset
  • Excellent document editing and formatting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and proactive
  • A strong ability to prioritize a large workload
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new software and technology quickly
