Who we are looking for?

Response Biomedical Corp. is seeking a motivated, dynamic, solutions-focused and creative individual to join our Product Development Team.

This position will assist in the development and manufacturing support of Response Biomedical products with the understanding that these products are used in the aid in diagnosis of potentially life threatening diseases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes experiments that may support feasibility, development, scaleup, verification and validation activities, transfer of new products to manufacturing, and other investigations as required.
  • Applies problem solving skills to the critical analysis and reporting of experimental data, and participates in brainstorming and troubleshooting activities.
  • Identifies opportunities for process/product improvements.
  • Performs general laboratory tasks such as reagent preparation, inventory, and laboratory clean up and organization.
  • Maintains appropriate laboratory records, laboratory notebooks, and Quality Control and Manufacturing documentation as required.
  • Is comfortable with the requirements of working in a regulated environment under the guidelines set by the Company to assure adherence to its Quality Management System.

Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Good written/verbal English communication skills; able to work well in a professional environment and deal effectively with coworkers.
  • Experience with basic wet biochemical laboratory techniques (e.g. pipetting, solution preparation).
  • Experience related to medical devices, protein biochemistry, and immunological methods would be an asset.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
