Job Summary
The Clerk III performs timekeeper, clerical, and administrative tasks in support of the Cardiac/Critical Care Program. The primary responsibility is the daily keying of staff attendance, leave, overtime and related records for the program.

This includes inputting attendance data for each employee in the program; calculating available leave; analyzing daily assignment sheets; keying of shift differentials, overtime, premium pay and leave benefits; and interacting with employees regarding shifts worked.

This position is also responsible for balancing the smoothing for each employee at the end of each schedule and providing support throughout the department, including to the Division Manager, departmental staff, and the Payroll Division.

Other duties will include answering telephones, maintaining charts, and other related clerical duties for the Critical Care Unit.


Job Demands
Occasionally lifts files, supplies, etc. weighing less than 10lbs.
Constantly performs fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse, scheduling appointments, and other duties.

Work provides the opportunity to stand and walk and to take postural breaks (sit, stand or walk) within the office environment.

Regularly required to perform bilateral repetitive fine motor skills when performing various computer work duties that involve typing and use of the computer's mouse.


Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.

**If medical terminology isn't current, a medical terminology test may be administered by the Human Resources Client Services Department.
