Job Description:

Shipping and Reporting

Responsible for shipping orders that are marked "ready to ship" on request date or earlier.
Shrink wrap pallets, follow specific packing instructions and attach the appropriate shipping label onto finished orders, track any shipping errors
Accurately track shipping information and correctly input information into system
Provide all necessary paperwork for shipped orders to Order Entry to be filed
Report and keep record of late orders per day and number of late pickup orders; present these findings during morning meetings along with an explanation
Ensure proper inventory rotation (Older items are sold before new ones)
Use downtime wisely, during this that time help with site cleanup and other duties as required
Maintain daily and weekly back orders and follow any instructions that follow each order

Receiving and Inventory

Receive and put away raw materials within 24 hours of unloading, verify the quantity of items and report any discrepancies
Work with purchasing to acquire shipping materials needed (e.g. boxes, tape)

Workplace Organization

Close and secure all exits before leaving at the end of the day, keep exits, aisles, and doorways clear from clutter
Maintain a clean and orderly working environment to improve overall efficiency and safety
Make suggestions on how to improve processes that will increase productivity, quality and accuracy, specifically in regards to shipping and receiving procedures

Health and Safety:

Strictly adhere to all health and safety policies and practices, housekeeping protocols and WHIMIS protocols, if in any case you feel a procedure is unsafe please report to management
Complete forklift inspection sheet daily and notify management if there are any concerns

Qualifications:

Demonstrate a passion for teamwork in daily interactions and learning in all areas of work
Strong computer skills around data entry
Forklift experience required
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a continuous basis

Permanent

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour

Following all government regulations, available PPE (masks, gloves, face shields, sanitizers), floor markers, screening questions before entering the building and social distancing measures.
