Responsibilities:


The Parts & Service Coordinator reports to the Service Manager and assists with the administration and parts procurement for the Service Department.

This position helps at the Parts Counter as required and is responsible for the following:


  • Field internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
  • Efficiently obtain and allocate necessary parts for service work in progress
  • Work with technicians to sign off on completed work orders in preparation for invoicing
  • Responsible for tracking technician hours for payroll
  • Process warranty and/or product improvement claims
  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintain until they are closed and invoiced
  • Generate parts quotes and complete parts orders as per customer requests
  • Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the work orders
  • Ability to work on a Saturday rotation, as well as extended hours during seasonal demands
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 years previous experience in a similar position with a high degree of product knowledge is preferred, but training can be provided for the right individual. The right mind set, customer service skills, and detail orientation is key to this role.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and fellow coworkers
  • Organization skills and attention to detail are required
  • Knowledge of Agriculture and Equipment would be an asset
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient using computers and word processing/spreadsheet software
  • Able to work flexible and extended hours when needed.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices
