Responsibilities:


As a member of our benefits and HR consulting team, you'll help our clients - employers of all sizes, across all industries - build workplaces that work better.

Primarily focused on process management and continuous improvements, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources/processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.


In this Senior level operations role, this position will partner with the National Operations Director to manage, exectute and support operational improvement projects for varied business operations while aligning to the strategic plan and goals.


Operational, Technical and Business Responsibilities

  • Support the overall GBS strategies of: Organic revenue; Merger growth; process improvement; talent development, and innovation.
  • Assist National Operations Director to execute priorities and goals in alignment with Regional and Divisional Strategies.
  • Drive operations projects in conjunction with Regional Resources and Branch Operations.
  • Responsible for implementation of projects through staff and engagement of executive management and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and advise senior management to gain commitment to the best course of action in operations initiatives and projects.
  • With additional concentration within performance management, business analysis, issue resolution, implementation and training, responsibilities further include:
  • Working with leadership and internal teams to identify and execute productivity improvement initiatives Establishing and monitoring performance metrics
  • Acting as liaison on support for system issues, requirements/enhancements, and training/communication development
  • Analyzing and reengineering business processes
  • Crafting and presenting actionable recommendations and collaborating on the implementation of solutions.

Qualifications:
Do I have what it takes to be considered?

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preferably in risk management/insurance, organizational development, commerce or business 10+ years of experience in the risk management/insurance field (carrier, corporate, broker/consulting)
  • 10+ years of program management or consulting within the insurance and/or benefits industry Experience with setup, management and oversight of the execution of large scale projects
  • Experience and knowledge of change management, organizational developmnet, profit maximization, productivity and efficiency enhancement Experience working with Canadian Employee Benefits and/or Retirement, Vendors and Insurance Carriers Life and A&S license; CEBS designation, both a plus but not required 15% travel required Work Traits
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving capabilities Must be independent, self motivated, and goal and people oriented Proactive approach with attention to detail and proven ability to follow through Cooperative with colleagues and strong consultative approach Ability to manage/balance multiple priorities
