Unit Clerk

Full-Time


Under the direction of the Resident Care Manager, assumes responsibility for the clerical duties generated on the nursing unit which includes, but not limited to, maintaining communication systems; ensuring supplies for the resident unit are adequate; performing unit clerical duties; exercising discretion and maintaining good interpersonal skills in every aspect of the job.

The ability to meet the normal requirements of the job, including but not restricted to:

  • College diploma/certificate: Nursing Unit Clerk or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting as a Unit Clerk/Clinical Administrative Assistant
  • Excellent organization skills, pays attention to detail, ability to work with frequent interruptions, work effectively under time constraints, multitask, and work with mínimal supervision.
  • Enjoy working independently and in a diverse team environment.
  • Enjoy working in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficient with computer and software programs (QHR, PCC, Word, Excel)
