This position is eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs grant program.
To be eligible, youth must meet the following eligibility requirements:
be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*;
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
Post-secondary courses in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Computer Studies, Office Administration. Demonstrated Customer Service or related discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience in an office environment with multi-service provision and/or a broad knowledge of a variety of municipal services is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, public relations, organization, and problem/complaint resolution skills.
Demonstrated good written communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy is necessary as is a strong comfort level with numerical responsibilities.
Ability to prioritize demands, meet customer service standards and deadlines. Previous experience demonstrating a higher level of multi-tasking.
Ability to handle all matters with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
