What will you do?

Trust Accounting functions for the Dealer back office, including manual journal entries
Reconciliation of various suspense and balance sheet accounts
Monitor daily accounting reports and error corrections
Research discrepancies to reconcile all related bank accounts for the Dealer products
Responsible for money movement between various systems and bank accounts
Error tracking and trending to increase accuracy and create process improvements
Balance accounting feeder files sent from the administration system to the General Ledger
Provide consultation to business partners to ensure standard accounting practices are being followed so control issues do not occur
Maintain and create accounting procedures documentation

What do you need to succeed?

Postsecondary degree in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet stringent deadlines
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to operate effectively as a team member as well as independently with limited supervision
Solid problemsolving skills, analytical skills and attention to accuracy and detail
Adaptable, proactive, and positive approach toward change

Assets:

Accounting experience, including account reconciliation
A track record of leading/supporting process improvement
Mutual fund industry experience
Familiar with Oracle/SAP general ledger systems (including Tableau and Frontier)

Notes/Unique requirements

Overtime will be required during peak periods (monthend and RRSP season)
This is currently a work from home position #LI-Remote
