Job Description:


WHAT'S THE JOB?

Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.


As a
Project Manager, reporting to the Manager, Projects, you will provide direction for projects and successfully take responsibility for overall project performance including cost, schedule, quality and project status.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing phases; coordinating project tasks, budget and stakeholders, while following project management principles and best practices.

The position involves subcontractor negotiations, liaising with owners, engineers and sub-trades as well as management of technical and financial aspects of contract.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in compliance with the contract, project management best practices, company policies and procedures and legislation and labour requirements.


Your work will include:


  • Maintaining relationships with all external and internal project stakeholders through effective communication practices;
  • Acting as the main interface between the Company and the customer, on all project matters;
  • Working with project stakeholders to develop a scope of work for projects;
  • Developing and monitoring the project schedule and budget;
  • Establishing construction plans and engineering methods;
  • Handling all change orders, including negotiating, processing and assessing cost and schedule impacts;
  • Identifying project risks, problems and issues as early as possible; ensuring mitigating actions are in place to minimize impact;
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, professional manner and on an ongoing basis;
  • Ensuring project profitability;
  • Involved in all facets of project closeout;

Qualifications:


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Educational and experience requirements include a construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience;
  • A minimum of 7 years' construction experience in industrial, single or multifamily residential and commercial;
  • Prior experience with modular construction is considered an asset;
  • PMP certification is considered an asset;
  • Proven experience managing small to medium construction projects and the associated stakeholders;
  • Experience working with various levels of government;
  • Contract law knowledge and contract management experience; and


  • Computer proficiency

  • Microsoft Office
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Scheduling Software
  • MS Project.
