Guelph City Realty is a full-service property management company that only manages the buildings it owns.

We proudly began over 70 years ago in Guelph and as of 2021 we operate over fifty residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings in Guelph and Cambridge providing tenancy to hundreds of tenants.

We are hiring an experienced renovator who should be experienced in various trades and their responsibilities would include the following:

• Framing, drywalling, taping, mudding, and sanding
• Repair and replace taps, toilets, and other small plumbing jobs
• Repair and replace components of interior and exterior doors such as door jams, weather stripping, trim, doorknobs, locks, hinges, and other hardware as required
• Conduct minor repairs to walls, floors, and ceilings by repairing, selecting, and preparing materials and surfaces some minor repairs could include repairing substrate, plastering, replacing studs, installing drywall, installing tile, regrouting, refinishing or painting new surfaces
• Installing appliances including leveling and ensuring they are operational
• Caulking around windows, masonry, in kitchen and in bathrooms
• Repairing cabinets, cupboards, countertops
• Other general maintenance tasks as assigned.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

Pay will be determined based on experience and employees receive a vehicle maintenance and mileage reimbursement of $400 per month.

Requirements:

• 35 years' experience working on a wide range of renovation projects
• 35 years' with small engine machines and power tools
• Must have your own hand tools and cordless kit (specialty tools will be provided as needed)
• Must have your own vehicle capable of transporting larger tools and a valid G license
• Professional attitude
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills and fluent in English
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable
• Must be bondable
• Selfmotivated, able to work unsupervised, and able to work independently or as part of team

$21.00-$25.00 per hour
