    About Nasittuq: Embark on an adventure in Canada's North with Nasittuq Corporation, a trusted provider of essential support services to the Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert, located in the remote Canadian Arctic. Our dedicated team ensures the seamless operation of critical functions for the Department of National Defense (DND), spanning from facilities maintenance to logistical support.

    Seeking Inventory Coordinator:

    Nasittuq Corporation is currently seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our team at the CFS Alert. As an Inventory Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in managing material distribution, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Collaborating with Administration and Maintenance Clerks to ensure efficient utilization of the CMMS and maintain data integrity.
    • Overseeing material storage, retrieval, coding, and routing, especially from weekly sustainment airlifts.
    • Executing inventory control tasks including issuance, reception, distribution, and disposal of inventory.
    • Coordinating government-provided materials and supplies within the DND supply system.
    • Handling, packaging, and labeling materials for shipment, adhering to regulatory standards.
    • Operating material handling equipment and engaging in manual labor as required.
    • Managing shelf life and handling receipt of Dangerous Goods.
    • Assisting employees in identifying material requirements and obtaining quotes through database research and completion of Material Order Forms.
    • Maintaining CMMS asset system and generating required reports on a regular basis.
    • Ensuring warehouse tidiness and organization.
    • Performing additional duties as assigned by higher authorities.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, computerized warehouse, or distribution facilities preferred.
    • Familiarity with inventory control software applications on personal computers.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments with a sense of urgency.
    • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with databases.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to obtain a Reliability Status Security Clearance, pass a pre-employment medical examination, and possess a valid Canadian passport.
    • Comfortable working under physically demanding, often adverse weather conditions in remote Arctic locations.
