Objective:


The Miller Group is looking for a dynamic environmental intern to join HSE Team for a period of 6 months contract with the potential of extension or permanent position.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Uphold the Miller Group's Environmental Policy Statement and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the organization through your daytoday tasks.
  • Participates in the systematic identification, assessment and control of Health, Safety and Environmental hazards and risks
  • Report all findings to senior HSE team members
  • Supports the implementation of the Company HSE procedures and daily management of all activities in the Health and Safety Department
  • Participates in HSE committee meetings
  • Work on special projects including but not limited to; Excess soil, waste management, environmental permitting and compliance or CSR
  • Travel and coordinate site visits to complete checklists with site representative(s)
  • Supports the HSE Team in administrative duties
  • Review HSE inspection, assign corrective actions

Requirements:


  • Working towards a post secondary education in Health and Safety or Environmental Studies
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills and goal oriented
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Vehicle and valid driver's license
