Job Description:


As a subcontract specialist, you will be responsible for meeting and coordinating the project's contractual requirements in accordance with the project's work planning and subcontracting strategy.


More specifically, you will:

  • Ensure access to the best suppliers to obtain services and equipment to meet the requirements of the yard, under the best contractual conditions
  • Ensure the relevance of the technical documentation given to subcontractors
  • Negotiate the terms and conditions of subcontracts and issue the required contractual documents, ensuring that the company's contractual, safety and environmental policies are respected
  • Manage the provision of subcontractors related to the program
  • Ensure that subcontractors comply with the requirements described in the specifications, as well as in the classification, requirements and/or other applicable laws or standards
  • Ensure the management of possible contractual claims and disputes
  • Ensure material availability for subcontractors
  • Report identified problems and propose solutions
  • Ensure that established budgets and planned delivery schedules are respected
  • Carry out any other tasks required by the project managers to contribute to the efficient execution of the project
  • Define, together with the project team members, the subcontracting needs of the project
  • When assigned to the project team, you must comply with project policies and procedures, as well as functional policies and procedures. As such, you will maintain a dual relationship with the immediate Project Manager and with the Functional Manager.

Qualifications:


  • Hold a bachelor's degree in an administrative field and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar position in an industrial or construction environment
  • Have a good knowledge and mastery of contractual and legal clauses
  • Experience in the maritime field is considered an asset
  • Bilingual (essential)
  • Demonstrate autonomy
  • Have a good analytical mind
  • Have a great interest in teamwork.
Additional Information


In order to be selected, it is mandatory that you successfully undergo and pass the investigation and security clearance process required by the Federal Government's Contract Security Program.
