THE POSITION:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Farm Vaccine Technician to join our Livestock team.


You will provide practical support to veterinary customers and their clients, assisting in the establishment of vaccination programmes on farms and production sites.

To delivering provide training and assistance support on best vaccination practices, ensuring optimal use of BI products in the field.


TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide practical support to veterinary customers and their farm clients, assisting in the establishment of Customer Business Plans and vaccination programmes on farm and training and support on best vaccination practices, including vaccination auditing, installation and routine servicing of vaccination equipment. Maintain a high level of customer service/contact and promote the company, its products and activities at all levels within the marketplace, including to veterinary surgeons and producers where appropriate.
  • Working with Customer Leads and Sales Specialists, identify and target key influencers and accounts, establish and maintain regular contact with them, improving and developing business relationships, ensuring a high level of support for BI products to maximise business impact.
  • Understand the profit contribution to the business, and act accordingly to drive commercial objectives. Evaluate return on investment of all activities and make recommendations for future investment improvement.
  • Monitor home market trends, competitor products and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and objectives and sharing this information as well as customer feedback on products and promotions with relevant colleagues.
  • Maintain good level of technical and commercial knowledge of own and competitor products (vaccines and vaccination equipment) and associated disease areas; working closely with the Swine Veterinary Advisor to ensure bestin class technical support is delivered to customers.
  • Manage range and inventory of swine vaccination equipment (in collaboration with Marketing Assistant).

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact well with individuals at all levels of the production chain and to build strong, long term relationships.
  • Highly competent at organising and planning
  • Excellent practical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong influencing, analytical and good IT skills
  • Connects well with other team members, wants to work as "one team" with shared objectives and is adaptable to change
