Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to effectively run cable placing jetting crew unit for the purpose of
  • Track and report all
  • Assume the lead role in the crew, accepting responsibility for all equipment related to the cable placing
  • Liaise with Senior Managers for Fibre Service Area (FSA)
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance to hydroseed
  • Ensure all installation performed meets Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Ensure daily use materials inventories are up to
  • Communicate changes in work task and deadlines as directed by the Construction
  • Assist with maintaining detailed records of project activities and complete work orders, material transfer forms, and other project documentation required by the
  • Ensure the accuracy of time sheets and expense reports as directed by the
  • Under the direction of supervisor initiates disciplinary action as and when is needed
  • Monitors quality of work throughout the life of the project
  • Provides documentation, reports, and information to supervisor as
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or
  • Adhere to and promotes the environmental, health & safety policies of
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information.

Qualifications

  • 2+ year of construction experience
  • Must have experience and demonstrate competency in pulling a trailer of significant
  • Experience with Outside Plant construction or other telecommunications construction projects is an
  • Ability to travel to various sitebased projects if required.

Working Conditions

  • Physically demanding workload
  • Work location: Work in locations that preclude the ability to return
  • Work hours: Shift work (14 days on and 7 days off)
  • Traveling is required.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 Driver's License
  • Certifications & Licenses not required but preferred
  • Previous Telecommunication experience is an asset.
