    POSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUND
    UNION AFFILIATION: NON-UNION
    STATUS: FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE JULY 2025)
    WAGE RATE: $56,560 – $67,800

    The Foundation Associate is part of a small dynamic team raising funds in support of Brightshores Owen Sound. The Foundation Associate is a key part of our fundraising success – anywhere from taking a donor's first call, to providing a tax receipt, to welcoming donor's into the Foundation office. Revenue generating responsibilities include the Hospital Family program, vendor program, and branded clothing. The Foundation Associate prepares meeting packages, room bookings, and attends Board and Committee meetings to take minutes. The Foundation Associate has a professional customer service orientation to represent the Foundation and liaise with our donors, supporters, public, staff, visitors and Board and committee members.

    Reporting to the CEO, the Foundation Associate is responsible for receiving, processing and depositing all donations on a daily basis. They enter all donations and donor information into our donor database, Raiser's Edge, with accuracy and attention to detail. The Foundation Associate prepares and runs reports and queries. They update Thank you letters and other donor correspondence.

    Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

    Required

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary office administration program, and three to five years administrative experience at a senior level.
  • Ability to produce accurate, timely and effective minutes and action summaries.
  • Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of the principles of effective customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, with a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a small team.
  • Excellent (intermediate to advanced level) computer skills including ability in Excel, Word, and Internet based applications, to be tested.
  • Keyboarding skills minimum 60 words per minute, to be tested
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Corporation and its operating system is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge, or other donor database is an asset.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple demands and complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Brightshores 'CARE' Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence)
