Job Summary
Eskimo Point Lumber Supply is currently looking for a
Rotational Hotel Manager to join their team in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut

The rotation schedule for this position is 40 weeks annual rotation with 12 weeks off. This is a permanent position that reports directly to the General Manager.


Job Duties:


  • Management and operation of the Hotel/Properties, including checkin and checkout of guests, and providing superior customer service and solutions
  • Accurate and timely completion of night audit procedures and provision of reports and other information to head office on a daily basis
  • Negotiate and secure longterm and/or group bookings
  • Management of the conference services provided by the Hotel, including, ensuring catering services and other requirements are provided as needed
  • Management of vehicle rentals
  • Hiring, training, and coaching of all staff, and Supervision and monitoring of the housekeeping department
  • Manage internal and external condition of the property, including conducting regular walkthrough inspections
  • Management of room supplies inventory, and ordering of items when necessary to ensure uninterrupted provision of services
  • Manage maintenance and repairs to properties as required
  • Ongoing analysis of the effectiveness of hotel operations to enhance continuing performance and solving of problems, while maintaining hotel standards and guidelines
  • Must be willing to fulfill duties as backup housekeeper for maintenance and cleaning of the hotels as required
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:


  • High school Diploma or GED, Post-Secondary education in a related field is an asset
  • Previous 'Five Star' hotel operating system experience is preferred
  • Previous experience or knowledge of northern living/small community dynamics is required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service
  • Good problem solving ability
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Good attention to detail, time management with the ability to multitask, and organizational skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic, be reliable with a positive team attitude.

Pay:
$75,000.00 per year

  • Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employerprovided relocation package (preferred)
