Job description
ALCO Gas & Oil designs, fabricates, and assembles oil and gas processing equipment for the domestic and global market. Alco is seeking Pipefitters to work with our nightshift within our production facility.

Nightshift employees are eligible for a nightshift premium on top of regular wages.

Duties include but are not limited to:

The ability to use tools and equipment safely, while abiding by the health and safety rules
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, and helping others maintain their work area.
Reading and interpreting P&ID (piping and instrumentation drawings) and GA's (general assembly) drawings to assemble a process piping system.
Installing supports, valves, piping, and control systems
Using hand tools or machines to perform various activities.
Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe
Threading joints to join pipes and fabrication sections of piping systems.
Performing hydrotest or pneumatic testing
Adherence to industry standards, customer standards detailed on drawings, and company general practices.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge in hydrostatic testing
Journeyman pipefitter with Red Seal is an asset.
Minimum 1 year experience as a Pipefitter
Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
Experience in threaded piping systems
Rigging experience
Valid governmentissued driver's license
Overall skill in relation to tools, measuring, and fabrication in general.
Experience in a pipe fabrication setting.
Strong commitment to safety
Must be able to work well both independently and on a team.
Selfmotivated, organized, and able to work in high pressure schedule driven environment.

Certification/Ticket Requirements

Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship program participant
OSSA Fall Protection is an asset.

Working Conditions:

You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present.
Typical workday is 10 hours, overtime and working weekend may be required with short notice.
Work will be performed both inside the shop and outside in the yard.

Job Types:

Salary:
$42.00-$49.35 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
