Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees

What you bring to the role

Education

Experience
Industry acumen and experience is required, demonstrated ability to teach a number of courses offered by the college, along with specialized skills in the following areas

Skills

Proven experience in one of the following, author, screenwriter, video game writer, radio/podcast producer, or in a similar storytelling capacity.
A track record of successfully captivating audiences and engaging them through storytelling.
Demonstrated success in teaching.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively breakdown the skill and craft behind narratives and storytelling concepts for others.
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to craft compelling and immersive stories.

Complimentary Skills

Experience adapting stories from one medium to another.
Experience and success in more than one medium is a plus.
Experience producing content in the medium you are knowledgeable, developing, raising capital, executing the vision, and delivering to your audience is a major asset, but not necessary.
