Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst on a permanent basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you'll do:


  • You will develop and review QA Plan & Strategy for small to medium size projects and walkthrough it with business/technical teams. You will collaborate with the IT Business Analysts on the functional requirements traceability matrix per project and identify QA scope and estimations for the project,
  • You will prepare and review test plan(s) and construct test cases, test scenarios and test scripts to support the projects Test Strategy, Test Plans and Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • You will execute approved and prioritized test cases and scenarios through rigorous testing efforts following the QA and project plans schedule and recommend corrective actions where necessary
  • You will work with the Sr QA Analyst or Vendor QA resources when required on the testing schedule, test strategy and test plan(s) contribute to all QA Gate reports and QA recommendations.
  • You will review QA deliverables from vendor QA analysts. You will prepare and present QA metrics and status reports. You will lead in the development, planning, and implementation of IT QA strategies, programs, metrics, and tactical activities for FCL and its subsidiaries and support vendor QA resources in these activities
  • You will perform System Administration / configuration/custom scripting of QA test management tools (like ALM, ALM synchronizer) and QA tools integrations. This includes resource onboarding and off boarding, project configuration, documentation updates and overall configuration changes
  • You will monitor various projects to ensure the continuous improvement of the QA framework and foundational work and provide consistent feedback on QA related issues to the Sr QA Analyst or QA Manager
  • You will manage test environment and data to support and execute testing, ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet enduser expectations. You will implement and review project QA processes, standard and tools as per FCL QA best practices and standards and enable vendor QA resources to follow these.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 36 years of relevant progressively responsible experience. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • You have direct experience in performing on IT Quality Assurance/Testing programs and teams, working with common Defect Tracking Tools, and working on and managing QA in transformational projects
  • You have strong communication, analytical and problemsolving skills with knowledge of database, basic scripting, and integration testing.
  • Exposure to Performance or functional automation Testing is an asset. Preference will be given to those with working system administration knowledge of ALM, vendor managed QA services, ERP system knowledge, Retail domain and those familiar with working in a matrix environment
