Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and transport it to postcollection facilities.
  • Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and position 38yard cans for dumping as needed.
  • Perform daily pre
- and post-trip inspections, completing and submitting vehicle condition reports and performing routine Daily
  • Weekly Maintenance.
  • Courteously interact with customers and the general public, addressing questions or requests and notifying supervisors of any issues requiring management action.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety by cleaning loose trash off the truck and ground around the truck and container during the dumping process.
  • Maneuver the truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, utilizing mirrors for backing up.
  • Utilize key maps and GPS to locate service addresses and follow safe operating practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Monitor operations to detect loose debris, visually scanning customer sites before and after dumping.
  • Demonstrate physical capability to lift/move various weights according to job requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, equipment checks, and precautions, ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, local, and company rules on safety and vehicle operation.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and/or Class 3 Driver's license with a clear abstract.
  • Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe driving and equipment operation skills.
