Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of estate litigation, including legal research, document review, and drafting legal documents
- Conduct interviews with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information for cases
- Organize and maintain case files, including electronic filing systems
- Perform data entry and manage caserelated databases
- Assist with legal drafting, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with project management tasks related to litigation cases
- Perform general office duties as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferred, preferably working in estates litigation
- Recognized 2 year Legal Assistant Diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in NetDocs or similar document management software
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and terminology
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
