What you will do:
- Conduct regular operational rounds to monitor equipment operation
- Isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance or outage work
- Perform some minor maintenance activities
- Monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
- Assist with startup, shut down, and operation of processes and equipment from a field role
- Respond to and appropriately addresses process and equipment upsets
- Identify possible or current operating problems and recommend action to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality, or mechanical operation
- Complete all requirements in the Operator Progression System
- Ability to work 12hour shifts, rotating between day and night shift schedule
- Physical Effort: role involves lifting, standing, climbing ladders, stairs, walking for extended periods of time
- Mental Effort: role involves high level of multitasking, abnormal conditions identification, problemsolving
- Work Environment: work is conducted inside and outside; exposed to various weather conditions common, general equipment/machinery noise, heat all year round
What you will bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 4th class ABSA steam ticket required, preferred 3rd class certification
- Able to use computers for job functions and training
