Description
Boldt Pools and Spas is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working leader for our new retail store in Wainfleet. We pride ourselves on our community-based store, and want someone who can carry on this attitude in their work.

We are a seasonal business, operating on a smaller staff in the winter months, and a full staff from spring to fall, but this position is full-time, year-round.

The Assistant Retail Store Manager's main areas of focus is store operations including sales, staffing, and inventory.


Schedule:
full-time, permanent position

- some weekends are required


Responsibilities and Duties

Drive for Results
  • Ensures the highest level of customer service is provided in the store. Communicates and successfully promotes programs aimed at increasing business. Sets an example with constant customer interaction on the selling floor and accountability for personal sales results. Recruits and selects the appropriate personnel to staff the store and ensures all employees are trained and developed in product knowledge, selling techniques, and loss prevention. Frequent oneonones are conducted to ensure Associates goals are achieved.
  • Help price, stock, and face merchandise on the sales floor and retail shelves daily, or as required by current stock levels
  • Responsible for overall store and property cleanliness and presentation
  • Assist in purchasing, stocking and maintaining all supplies as needed
  • Assist in any ordering responsibilities as well as all retail product & special customer orders. Ensuring all paperwork and packing slips are matched and sent to accounting at head office
  • Assist in accurate, daily till counts, End of Day reports, Daily Sales Records, Bank Deposits, Safe counts, petty cash management, coin box management
  • Assist all customers on the retail floor and answer any questions. Greet & approach visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the store
  • Evaluate, provide feedback and manage employee's performance
  • Maintain schedules and monitor time cards tracking holidays, sick days and lastminute changes
  • Ensure that all associates are trained in salesmanship, product knowledge and customer service
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve the quality of service, productivity and profitability

Qualifications

  • Education level: Post-Secondary Preferred
  • Experience: Strong background in leadership, sales, and customer service. Retail Management is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attentive and detail oriented when accomplishing all tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines concurrently.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to understand budgets, sales and daily goals.
  • Proficient with computers.
  • Open availability and able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, and weekends.

Compensation:
