    Director of Training & Development

    JANA is focused on improving the integrity of gas distribution and gas transmission pipeline systems through the application of advanced risk modeling technologies. Our models and software are defensible and highly predictive, allowing gas pipeline operators to take actions to reduce risk in their systems.     An engaging and passionate leader, JANA's Director of Training & Development directs the design, planning, and implementation of learning & development programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of JANA. This role requires working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to creatively design and implement programs that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and retention for the entire JANA team. A seasoned leader that combines a breadth of leadership skills with strong empathy, ensuring JANA's Culture is embedded in all initiatives, the Director of Training & Development reports to the Vice President, Human Resources.

    Responsibilities

    · Supports JANA's VPHR in the development and execution of JANA's Corporate Training Strategy

    · Oversees the planning, prioritization, and development of new training programs and initiatives, ensuring that these programs and initiatives are consistent with JANA's overall strategy, objectives, and needs

    · Uses performance reviews, skills gap analyses, surveys, etc. to identify training needs per corporate function, role, and person

    · Implementation and oversight of JANA's Learning Management System

    · Design, delivery and facilitation of competency-based learning content, to develop skills gaps

    · Collaborates with functional managers to assess ongoing and future training & development needs

    · Develops JANA's Individual Development Plan (IDP) process and supports managers in the development & documentation of IDPs for their team members

    · Oversee creation of a catalogue of existing training materials and improve, replace, or archive as necessary

    · Oversees learning activities, curriculum, and resources and evaluates the results of learning courses

    · Ensures consistency in the delivery and application of training standards across the organization

    · Implements coaching sessions and mentorship programs that establish a culture of continuous learning

    · Recommends new training methods and suggest enhancements to existing training programs

    · Manages corporate training budget

    Technical Qualifications

    · Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or equivalent

    · Minimum 10 years management experience, preferably in a technical environment

    · In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching)

    · Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and concurrently manage a variety of activities effectively to meet deadlines with attention to detail
