Description

Reporting to the Series Producer, the Assistant Director will be responsible for reviewing storyboards with Storyboard Artists and the Director.

Review clean boards and assist at the animatic edit with Director.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Director and Producer(s) as needed
  • Launch storyboards with Storyboard Artists and Director
  • Review rough boards from Storyboard Artists and give revision notes
  • Review clean boards from Storyboard Artist with Director
  • Ensure that the boards have good timing
  • Provide a list of revisions to be given to the Storyboard Supervisor or Storyboard Revision team
  • Assist at the animatic edit with Director
  • Responsible for generating new panels and executing board revisions as required
  • Managing team of revisionists to get all notes addressed in a timely manner as required
  • Address Client comments on animatic with the Director
  • Maintain production schedule
  • Must have a good mix of aesthetic sensibilities and technical experience in 2D animated series production.

Key Requirements

  • 13 years of experience in the role
  • Knowledge of 2D animation techniques and pipeline
  • Knowledge of computer software being used throughout the pipeline
  • Must be familiar with 2D staging and limitations.
  • Welldeveloped drawing, animation, comedic timing and composition skills
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Able to handle sensitive, confidential information appropriately
  • Strong communication skills; verbal, nonverbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel) / SharePoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on multiple tasks in a fastpaced production environment.
