Position:
Operations Supervisor

Location:
Winnipeg Branch

The
basic function of this role is:
You will be reporting to the Director of Operations-Western Canada.

Your primary responsibility will be the day-to-day supervision of Broker (Owner Operator) staff at the Winnipeg branch, and responsible for the Thunder Bay branch and operation.

The
key responsibilities for this position are:

Supervise the day-to-day activities of Brokers
Monitor daily attendance reporting; investigate and resolve any discrepancies regarding broker pay and other issues
Conduct departmental focus meetings to review daily targets, as well as the previous day's record of performance including production figures and error rates
Monitor the timely departure of all delivery trucks and line hauls
Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting on financial statement (P&L)
Provide leadership, recruitment, training, coaching and development of unionized brokers (Owner operators)
Maintain a positive working relationship with operations peers, customer service, sales, IT, and HR/Payroll
Demonstrated leadership, motivational and team building abilities
Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
Ability to work independently

We are looking for an individual who closely meets the following
qualifications:

Two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in the transportation or related industry
Working knowledge of MS Office
Supervisory experience in a unionized environment
Relevant postsecondary education and/or equivalent experience
