With a vision for supporting an efficient patient experience and a consistent approach to clinical best practices, Niagara Health is preparing to implement a modern Hospital Information System (HIS) in 2024.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with technical PM manage the work of others that may involve a team of internal IT specialists, vendors, and other contract employees.
Play role in identifying, managing, and escalating project risks and issues to a successful resolution.

  • Effectively communicating with various organizational levels and end users.
  • Create and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation which may include participation in IT audits and other processes to ensure the integrity of IT systems.
  • Implement system changes and administer access to information and systems using IT security policies, standards, and guidelines.
Address efficiently system access needs of the solutions in accordance with organizational best practice.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • University Degree or College diploma in Computer Sciences or related discipline preferred
  • Certifications in ITIL

EXPERIENCE
10+ years experience with health care system design and workflow analysis

  • Proven experience for requirements gathering and process evaluation
  • Experience managing and coordinating 3rd party consultants
  • Experience of working with HL7 messages and interface engines good to have
  • Project management experience preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills and the ability to understand interoperability concepts
  • Strong knowledge provincial and regional data repositories and their integrations
  • Understanding of software development life cycles preferred
  • Knowledge of scripting languages or programming recommended
