In addition to these elements, the Manager will support any component of the Business Controls team, including regulatory, AML and compliance objectives, where required.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Maintain a comprehensive inventory of the Bank's relationship with 25+ external suppliers who support the Real Estate Secured Lending business.
Support contract negotiations and renewals with thirdparty service providers.
Support the Bank's thirdparty risk management framework by ensuring all suppliers have completed the necessary assessments and any issues are identified and addressed promptly.
Partner with governance functions to support the implementation, review and continuous improvement of business controls and advocate for the interests of the Real Estate Secured Lending Business
Support creating and redefining the Real Estate Secured Lending supplier strategy in accordance with business priorities.
Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

University degree and several years of financial services or relevant work experience
Strong judgement, critical thinking and financial acumen required
Experience in supplier management is an asset
Knowledge of Scotiabank's risk management framework and real estate secured lending business is an asset
Experience successfully navigating complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
Proven ability to exercise good judgement, interpret and translate policy guidance to actions
Strong knowledge of risk management framework, key types of risks and controls in place to mitigate them
Comprehensive understanding of key internal stakeholders, the Bank's organizational structure and operating model
Organization skill with a proven track record of delivering high impact results on time
Excellent communication skill with an ability to synthesize and simplify complex concepts and guidance
Critical thinker with an ability to map out the downstream implications of an action
Knowledge of endtoend real estate secured lending process
