Company Details:

This position is responsible for all back-end settlement transactions and the reporting associated with these tasks; including timely reconciliation of all accounts assigned.

This position is also responsible for processing customer refunds, charges, credit card chargebacks, and completing reconciliation and reporting on these tasks.

This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Job Details:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Settle high volume financial transactions on a daily basis timely and accurately
Ensure proper functioning of data transfers between various system interfaces: Accounting Software, external debit and credit card processors, and settlement banks
Perform complex data analysis and identifies any financial discrepancies
Address discrepancies and communicates them with key stakeholders
Reconcile daily directed funds movements with actual results reported and processes related journal entries
Enter data into system involving processing debit/credit transactions.
Analyze charge backs and follow up with merchant bank and credit card issuers as needed
Process customer charges, refunds and credit card chargeback
Assist in preparation of processes and procedures documentation
Reconcile various clearing and settlement General Ledger accounts at month end and provide standard or ad hoc requests for reports on clearing and settlement activity
Complete monthly financial reconciliation tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Interact with client(s) to gather financial data, respond to inquiries
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Assist in streamlining department reports and processes
Assist in monthend and yearend closing process
Provide training to Junior
Take on adhoc tasks which may be assigned from time to time

Minimum Job Requirements:

Fouryear degree in accounting or financerelated field
Three years accounting and reconciliation experience
Demonstrated ability to reconcile large volumes of data
Demonstrated experience in deepdive variance investigation and analysis
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of electronic funds movement and internal controls desirable
Experience with SAP Business Intelligence software an asset
