Analyst, Credit Risk Management (CMHC)

About the Role
In this role, you will provide timely and proactive support by:

Maintaining ongoing interaction with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure thorough underwriting of commercial mortgages (strong customer service is required to retain clients for renewals)
Performing administration tasks such as preparing reports and assist with compliance
Conducting appropriate due diligence and investigation to gain solid understanding of the borrower, analyzing, and interpreting financial data and credit information, assessing the value of security, and underwriting commercial mortgage presentations and annual reviews within the guidelines of lending policies and procedures
Working as part of a team in the completion of mortgage presentations, meeting prefunding conditions and thirdparty instructions to meet all funding requirements within tight deadlines
Staying current with market information and commercial mortgage market trends
Performing other duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job, such as preparing reports, assisting with compliancerelated tasks, and completing department projects as assigned

This role is for you if you have:

You have at least 1 year or more of experience working in the Commercial Real Estate Risk industry
You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can work well independently as well as within a team environment
Bilingual, English and French is considered an asset
You have experience creating and delivering business presentations and strong technical writing skills
You are very resultsdriven and possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
You take ownership of your work and always demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment
You have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: finance, economics, urban land development, accounting, or business administration
You are an intermediate/advanced level user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
You have a passion for real estate combined with an understanding of financial and statement analysis
