Image Sensor Design Specialist in Waterloo


Position Summary and Responsibilities:


  • Teledyne-DALSA's Aerospace and Defense group is looking for a creative and innovative
- individual who has proven ability in independently solving technical problems, can learn new
- technical concepts readily, and interacts well with industry technical leaders. customer requirements, make minor modifications to the design of existing sensors, provide
- technical support to customers, and interact with process, mechanical, electronic and test team members to develop and test custom image sensors. If you have previous sensor design experience, you may also work on new sensor designs.

The Image Sensor Design Specialist will educate and support sensor and camera manufacturing, camera development, test technicians, coop students, and other functional groups that require sensor technical support.


Qualifications:


  • Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related relevant field
  • 3 or more years' experience with product development in a design capacity
  • Knowledge and experience in semiconductor device physics
  • Knowledge and experience in semiconductor fabrication processes, microelectronic
circuits, analog electronics, and optics are assets

  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Proficiency in use of common laboratory tools including oscilloscopes, probes, etc.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and experience with/knowledge of sophisticated data analysis
software & methods

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Proven ability to problem solve and innovate in a dynamic environment
  • The following experience/knowledge are not mandatory but will be assets:
  • Silicon chip circuit design experience is an asset, with particular emphasis on experience with image sensor design
  • Experience with imaging technology
  • Knowledge of various components used in electronic design
  • Experience with optics and/or electronics
  • Experience developing test routines/automation using National Instruments software
(LabVIEW, TestStand, LabWindows CVI) and MATLA

For this role, Controlled Goods Screening will be required.
