Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Transportation Planner, we'll count on you to:

  • Provide transportation planning services for transit, highway, municipal and provincial agencies
  • Provide support for corridor studies, forecast modelling, multimodal transportation analysis, transportation planning, and project issue tracking
  • Assimilate, manage, and Analyse data
  • Collect projectrelated data as needed, which may include research, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, land use surveys, and socioeconomic analysis
  • Test future alternative transportation scenarios and network concepts
  • Prepare scenario mapping and networks for modelling
  • Prepare required documents such as process memoranda, corridor analyses, model validation. and other technical reports
  • Assist in preparation for and participate in stakeholder meetings, public information meetings and hearings
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or closely related field
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • MS Office, ArcGIS
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employeeowned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Experience with transportation planning concepts
  • Python, EMME or VISUM, Adobe Creative Suite
