Duties and Responsibilities
- Purification, optimization and characterization of new antibodies;
- Working with antibody microarrays including probing and quantitation;
- SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and preparing reagents and samples;
- Involved with a research study for SARS-CoV2 testing;
- Involved with R&D experiments to develop new assays or services;
- Following and updating of Standard Operating Procedures;
- Preparing cell and tissue lysates for analysis and cell and tissue culture;
- Maintaining inventory of reagents and supplies and preparing solutions;
- Quantitating and analyzing data for reports;
- Other general research and laboratory duties as required
- Assisting in other general lab management such as supervision of students, organization and cleanliness of lab;
Qualifications
- Degree or other recognized qualification in a technical/life science field or other relevant discipline;
- Able to work with mínimal supervision in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strict adherence to policies and procedures and ability to learn new techniques quickly
- Must be a resourceful, proactive, detailoriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Some flexibility in work hours and schedule. May be required to perform shift work to meet requirements
- Prior work experience working in a research laboratory
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
Research Skills: 1 year (preferred)
