T&A Rock Works Inc.specializes in rock drilling, controlled blasting, slope stabilization, shoring, and more The company is based out of Kelowna, BC, and mainly operates throughout the Okanagan Valley.
T&A is currently seeking a part-time Bookkeeper who is able to work 3 days per week, 8 hour days.Duties:
- Manage and maintain financial records and transactions
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and uptodate
- Utilize accounting software (Quikbooks) to record and track financial transactions
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience (construction, mining, heavy machinery, etc.)
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role (minimum 5 years experience)
- QuickBooks Desktop & Online (minimum 2 years experience)
- Strong knowledge of account analysis and reconciliation
- Familiarity with budgeting principles and practices
- Experience with payroll processing and tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Education/Training:
- Training or accredited certification in bookkeeping
- BBA is considered an asset
