DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Greet and direct patients, visitors and staff
  • Perform a computer search to locate patient information for wayfinding and clinic appointments.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and provide relevant information as requested.
  • Problem solve issues for patients and visitors and escalate when appropriate
  • Call the Call Centre to provide wheelchair assistance to outpatients and visitors Request additional support through initiating hospital codes (Blue, Brown, etc)
  • Organize wheelchairs in lobby designated area and retrieve wheelchairs from outside.
  • Assist with general tidiness of the information desk and lobby area surrounding the Information Desks.
  • Alert the Team Leader to any issues or concerns that require escalation
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Successful completion of a secondary school diploma required.
  • Successful completion of a postsecondary community college program in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated oral, written and English language reading skills required in order to effectively communicate and/or respond to patient, visitor, or staff inquiries as required.
  • Able to use telephone equipment at the Information Desks.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) are required.
  • Welldeveloped organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Excellent customer service record with proven success in working in a team environment.
  • Proficient in the current ADT software system, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word 2010, Intranet and Internet.
  • Able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven commitment to Mission and Values of the organization.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • High energy and able to multitask.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate is an asset.
  • Other duties as assigned.

HOURS:
_


Evenings and weekends, Alternating:
Mondays 2pm-9pm, Thursdays 2pm-9pm, Saturdays and Sundays 6am-2pm and as per department needs.
