Description
As aDog Handler you will be responsible for:
- Taking dogs alone or in groups of 2 for bathroom breaks and short walks
- Facilitating activities like fetch, agility, free training, fitness training, etc, to keep the dogs safe and engaged during their day.
- Observing dogs in play groups and managing problem behaviors like barking, jumping, or destructive chewing.
- Helping nervous or anxious dogs build confidence through activities
- Daily cleaning of our facility (vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, scrubbing, etc )

The must haves:
- Strong work ethic
- Physically fit and comfortable with long stretches of activity
- Excellent interpersonal skills we work with people just as much as dogs
- A good sense of humour
- Ability to multitask and be proactive in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to interpret dog body language
Extras we would love to see:
- An understanding of classical conditioning
- An understanding of operant conditioning (+R, R, +P, P)
- Ability to interpret dog body language
- Proficient with social media and modern technology (cloudbased apps, IG, Slack, WhatsApp, etc )
Bonus points if you have:
- Current canine first aid certification
- Professional experience working with dogs
- Consistent Availability

Logistics
- Pay starts at $16.75/hour and moves up as you take on more responsibility.
- You will need to be available on weekends.
