Reports To: Director of Sales, Canada


Your Role:

You will call on key retail customers (Loblaws, Walmart Canada, Costco Canada, Sobeys, Metro), including other major retail supermarket/C-Store wholesalers and major self-distributing chains to proactively manage and increase growth.

In addition to managing existing customers, you will also establish new business relationships and play a major role in penetrating the retail broker organizations.


  • Play a key role in shaping and defining Dot Foods Canada value proposition in the retail channel.
  • Conduct headquarters calls to facilitate growth with accounts not already familiar with Dot or redistribution.
  • Work with manufacturers and brokers in the retail industry to educate them on our program value, including promoting our supplier's availability to all retailers.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and management teams, both internal and external to increase service level and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with assigned customers to adhere to Dot's customer policies, solve various supply chain issues, and process customer deductions.
  • Work with existing and new suppliers to help them navigate retail accounts.
  • Educate internally as expert on retailers polices and portals.
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Role Specifics:

- _ Travel - _Occasional overnight travel required (5-7 nights per month) for industry meetings and trainings. Ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train for customer/vendor calls, training or meetings.


Qualifications:

We Need You To Have:


  • Bachelor's degree or comparable Dot experience
  • Minimum of three years' successful outside retail sales experience
  • Experience presenting to large and small groups.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve complex supply chain problems and create positive outcomes.

  • Ability to impact and influence customers at the senior management level throughout the decisionmaking process.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
