SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team.

The Manager, Analytics leads and manages a team of data experts in the use of advanced analytics and data reporting to store, prepare, mine, visualize, and present data for SaskEnergy's business units to optimize their operations.

The manager will also be responsible for ensuring the business has the appropriate tools and infrastructure to provide insight into the corporation's business performance and objectives.

Position Details- Non-union - This position is permanent full time.


Key Accountabilities- Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, dashboards, analytics tools and artificial intelligence (AI).- Lead the data governance committee.- Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective leadership of the analytics team and effective collaboration with stakeholders.- Be a data champion within the organization and support all stakeholders to improve their level of data fluency.- Recruit, train, develop and manage a mix of data engineers, analysts, data scientists and other analytics-focused employees and contractors.- Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining, engineering, visualization, and outcome delivery.- Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, and budget, and design/implement solutions to meet those needs.- Oversee the request process, including tracking, prioritization, approval, and implementation.- Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards.- Other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- A degree, or diploma in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, etc.- Strong analytics background with seven (7) years experience monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data.- Understanding of, and experience using, analytical concepts and statistical techniques to analyze data and draw actionable recommendations for business units.- Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.- Working knowledge of data concepts such as data management, data governance, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and cloud architecture.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.- Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.- Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

Additional Information- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
